practice your skills in a new setting
  • Learn for work –
improve your employability by developing skills communication, teamwork, personal qualities knowledge and understanding
  • Learn about work –
understand how a business operates and learn employers/employees rights

Employers want to recruit future employees who have some knowledge of the world of work. Work experience can offer students the following opportunities:-

  • Put theory into practice
  • Consider career options
  • Find out what they like and do not like to do
  • Get practical experience
  • Start to develop ‘employability skills’
