News - ‘Register & Be a Lifesaver’ Education Programme

During January, Mr Keith Sudbury visited Westwood College to deliver a very important and thought provoking message to our students, that of ‘Register & Be a Lifesaver’ (R&Be).

This education programme is run by Anthony Nolan, the pioneering cancer charity, in partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) and aims to motivate 16 to 18 year olds to register as donors and potentially save lives.

Having listened to Mr Sudbury’s inspiring and impactful words, nearly 100 Westwood students registered to donate organs, blood and bone marrow.  This is an excellent response for which Mr Sudbury thanked the College and students.
