News - Sixth Form Health and Wellbeing event

H & W 2Year 13 students at Westwood College recently took part in a series of activities and workshops focused on issues which have become increasingly relevant to young people.

Students took part in activities which covered mental health concerns with the support of the organisation MIND, CPR training was delivered using equipment kindly donated by The British Heart Foundation and information was cascaded on sexual health, how to stay safe.  Healthy snacks were available in the canteen at break and students could further improve their learning by opting for sessions on self-defence, cooking on a budget or cave fitness. H & W 1

The event aimed to inform and prepare students for the challenges and exciting opportunities which will present upon leaving Westwood College for ‘pastures new’.

The College extends thanks to all who kindly gave their time to support the event.
